Prince of Persia T2T

May 4, 2009

I actually chucked this PC game aside for nearly 2 years because my low ram PC in the office could not install this game.

I really regret not playing it the times before. I missed out on a lot of fun. Consider me as outdated, but last Saturday was the day that I finally played POP3 and finish the epic of one of my most favourite sequential games that I played during my teen years. Both the storyline and concept just captivates keeps me to keepĀ  going. Ubisoft really puts loads of effort in their games.

Compared to Warrior Within, the 2 Thrones is more brighter, less scarier, more challenging, more tougher, but more fun. With a wider range of combats + ability to do stealth, the only thing that seems to bug me during combo is that his secondary weapon seems to die off after every 2 combos. And then I’ll go UGH!! I need a weapon!! But unlike warrior within, I was more eager to keep going to find out what happen’s next. So I just kept on playing and playing, partly because there was no Dahaka chasing me, and the dilemma of finding a checkpoint which seems to be forever(those who do not understand what gibberish I’m talking about, go play POP3). You’ll always heive a sign of relief after the Dark Prince hits water again. To run and act quick as his life depletes is nearly the same as having a timing device in the previous games, not to mention how many billions of times I died with spikes, in chariot races, fighting with the twin boss and finally Vizier.

T2T’s environments is really a lot of burned stuff here and there, so there wasn’t much to enjoy. Sand’s of Time has the most beautiful concepts, particularly the night environment outside the gardens. In Warrior Within the nicest place to be in was the Hanging Gardens, but it was mostly dark all the way and super confusing having to go through so many time portals with a monster breathing down your neck. T2T was more straightfoward. Secrets weren’t difficult to find and like Sands of Time, the endless running, jumping, hanging on walls like a monkey until you reach the highest peak of the tower to meet your final boss.

My total gameplay time 20 hours 30 min. Loads of Game Over from Chariot Racing, Spikes and Death Traps + Jumping at the wrong side, Twin Boss, and Vizier. This ain’t Assassins Creed. If you fall down the rooftop without sand tanks means you’re dead. So learn to die many times before you succeed.

I really like the cinemetography :p. But Kaileena and Farah possess the same Eva Green eyes, looking practically identical. The prince looks like he has eyeliner.

I think I hand enough of playtime for the past week. The guilt of being useless is already eating down my neck. Time to kick out of my anti-social life and start getting back to the busy daily momentums.
